![]() ![]() ![]() Don’t pin the top part of the stocking where it should have an opening. Pin the two sides in such a way that the right side of the image is facing the other sock. Pin the two sides of the sock together so that they are aligned and fitted together properly. Once you’re done with the cross-stitched design, you can now sew the two pieces of Christmas stocking together. For example, if the top thread on the first X stitch in slanted left, it should be the same for the entire row so that the finished patter will appear evenly made. When you do cross-stitching, it is imperative that all the Xs are in the same direction. In the other method, you can create X as you sew through each square in the cloth. Most patterns require the use of this method. In the first method, you will do a row of half stitches and the work your way back to complete the cross-stitches. Count the squares in the aida cloth to start the stitching. Use the embroidery hoop to hold the fabric. This should preferably be on the middle part of the sock. Step 3 – Cross-Stitch the Design onto the Clothīefore you start with the actual cross-stitching, you must first draw the area where you want to put the design. If you are a beginner, you should choose a simple design that will not be too difficult for you to do.
